Farmer's Market

What: Farmer's Market
When: Saturday mornings
Where: Rua Martins where it meets RJ-106 (Rodrigo Amaral Peixoto)

Every weekend we have local vendors selling their goods here in Centro.

The selection changes a bit every time, but you can always find locally made sausages, fresh cuts of meat, home made cheeses, honey, eggs, a good variety of vegetables and fruits, and the occasional crafy items or hand made clothing.

Some of the items are ready to eat, like frozen acai and breads (both sweet and savory).

All of the vendors have plastic bags to help you carry your food home, but they really appreciate it when you bring your own shopping bags. If you have an empty egg carton of your own to bring for your eggs they will usually give you a smile and a thumbs up too. The less they have to provide of these recyclables the less it costs them to do business (and you get to feel good about reducing your footprint too).

Come support your local farms! You'll get the freshest food around.
