Praça São Pedro

The City of Rio das Ostras re-inaugurated Praça São Pedro on Wednesday, November 1st, 2008 in Centro.

The Concha Acústica (acoustic shell) has an 85 m2 stage and amphitheater seating. The square also has wooden decks, a playground, and a grove of native vegetation.


There is a tide gauge close to a sun clock, a compass and map of the sky, where you can identify the constellations seen from here.

 Once a month on a Saturday night on the clam-shell stage there is a free Jazz and Blues concert which is organized for the "Jazz e Blues o Ano Novo" Project by the city. There are also occasional theater productions presented by local artists.
